I had six servers' RPC service unexpectedly stop today -
four of which occured at almost the exact same time. The
other two occurred about forty minutes later. Could this
be a symptom of the Blaster Worm?
I didn't see any evidence of an MSBlast.exe file on any of
the servers; nor did I see the registry key that was
supposed to be installed.
Even after updating virus definitions, running scans and
the Blaster removal tool on each of the servers, I see no
other evidence.
What else could cause so many servers' RPC service to halt
at once?
