Hi,

Recently, I have installed desktop firewall on my desktop and the
firewall log shows that my network is floolded with bootp/dhcp
broadcast traffic.

I find this strange because all our clients PC use only static IP. I
also tried to disable the dhcp client service in my PC, but it still
broadcast bootpc requests to 255.255.255.255.

Any expert can explain that and point our how to fix it ?

Thanks!

Mike.

To find the DHCP server that is broadcasting on your
network change a machine to get its IP address from A dhcp
server, then query the pc to see where it got its ip
address from... Are you sure that the DHCP server is on
your netwrk and is not flooding from your ISP or some
other DHCP on the net?...
