strange behaviour.

the first thing to happen was that one of the user accounts kept switching
back to 'classic' display mode, despite being in windows xp look.

the event viewer> applications log is totally empty with just some icons
displayed (tiny windows logo).

i have done a repair installation with no effect.

i cured the user account display problem by deleting and then recreating the
account but the problem with event viewer remains.

any comments appreciated.

some body's changing your computer back to

classic,affecting all users.My kids are good for that one
same thing.they change it back for their video games to
make them play beter,then don't switch em back.
