Hi Group,
If I try to download a SNP file using <a href> (<a
href="filename.snp">Test</a> ) IE asks me to -Open-, -Save- or -Cancel- I
select -Open- and then it asks me to -Save- the file to the local computer,
this is what I don't want, I want to see it with the Snapshot Viewer not
save it. When this last question is shown by IE it also tells me that it can
not open it with the default program and it tells me that the file is
corrupted or has an incorrect file type so it asks me to -Save- or -Cancel-
the operation.
I tried the same thing with IE 5.5 (with Win2kPro) and Firefox (with WinXP
SP2) and it works as expected.
I checked the file types by going to | Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder
Options ... | File Types | and my configuration is the default from the
original snapshot viewer installation.
Is there a hidden configuration to make IE 6 behave like IE 5.5 in this
scenario?
I'm running WinXP SP2
Thank you,
- Eduardo
