When placing transitions into the storyboard, how can I get the program to
load faster. This transiton is very slow as you place more and more
transitions in the storyboard. Please give me a solution. XP HOME

Sounds like a resource issue.

Some things to try:

1) Close all programs before opening Movie Maker.

2) Increase the size of your Virtual Memory
Paging File. The following article explains how:

in Windows XP

3) Add more RAM. (1 GB is good for video editing
and 2 GBs would be even better)

4) Do some maintenance:

Running Disk Cleanup, Error Checking and
Defrag on a regular schedule is a good idea.

(check the two boxes..."Automatically fix file
system errors" and "Scan for and attempt
recovery of bad sectors") the utility will run
the next time you restart your computer.
(run error checking repeatedly until it finds
no errors)
