Is there a way to store a Word document onto a network
folder at the same time that it is being stored in My
Documents on the individual computer?

I use version control software to do this.
- Close the Word document
- Check it into version control
- Reopen the Word document

Not as automatic as what you're looking for but it works.

You can write a macro, that will do it for you.
Then assign this macro to your toolbar.
