Occasionally when I open Windows Mail there is a popup that says loading
email or something like that and a count of emails loaded and then I can see
the emails in the correct windows. Most of the time when I open Windows Mail
all I see is the folders. Any idea why the messages are not loading.
Sometimes I can click on one of the folders other than the Inbox and the
messages in that folder will appear then the inbox messages will appear when
I go back to it. I am not talking about new mail, I am talking about mail
already stored in Windows mail.

You might check your view settings and see if you have it set to View |
Current View | Show all messages. Otherwise there are some issues where
this seems to be occuring.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the reply.

I had already checked to be sure view all was set.
You mention "there are some issues where this seems to be occuring". What
are the conditions and are there any repairs yet?
I ran sfc and found that some files were corrupt, some were fixed, some were
not.
I tried to run a repair install but that doesn't appear to be possible in
Vista. Is that correct? This is a 2 week old Toshiba laptop. I really don't
want to wipe and reload it already.

Thanks for your time,
Sam

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the utility. It didn't fix the problem but it did confirm the
corruption that I suspected. For now I am going to just blow away the Vista
and load XP. I never had a problem with Outlook or Outlook Express. Maybe a
year from now after SP2 comes out I'll try Vista again.

Thanks again,
Sam
