Storage Location for Desktop Pictures (Wallpaper)

When you go to Control Panel/Display/Desktop, you are presented a limited
list of wallpapers. I have been storing other backgrounds in the Windows
folder.

Where are the items that appear in the Display/Desktop list stored, so I can
replace the ones I don't like?

Wallpaper listed in the Background box will be stored in these
locations:

C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper

C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\My Documents\My Pictures
(+ all subfolders)

C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

All bmp, jpg, gif, jpe, dib, png and htm files located in these folders:

%USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Pictures

%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

%Systemroot% = C:\WINDOWS or C:\WINNT

You can use the Browse button to select Backgrounds -Start, Control
Panel, Display, Desktop.

Your My Pictures is a common source of Backgrounds. You may want to
watch file size.
