Stops playing ?

Version 5.1

When I try to play my clips so I can trim them or do something else with
them, only the first 2-3 seconds play then it stops moving, but the buttons
continue to indicate that it's playing.

HELP !

I guess I should have clarified - These clips are captured directly from a
SONY digital videocam and I have been using this combination for at least 4-5
years - and never with any problems...

I am confused about why I would be having this problem at this late date

Same camera? Same computer? Same operating system?

Maybe your system has changed in the last 5 years.

Maybe something you installed / uninstalled / updated is
causing issues.

If this is a recent occurrence it may be worth a try to do
a system restore to a time before it began.
