My old computer with win98 died. I formatted the
harddrive and tried to load W2K. When it reboots and
gets to the keyboard it stops and says it can't
continue. Please shut down or restart.
I looked it up in the knowledge base:
This behavior occurs because the system does not have any
rights (Access Control Lists [ACLs]) to the root of the
volume on which the $Win_nt$.~bt folder is located.
The solution was to move the harddrive to another system
and change the ACL. I don't have another system to move
it to. Is there some other way to do this? Is there
anyother way to get around the keyboard thing?
