Stopping Splash Screens

Is there anyway to stop the Splash screens that some
programs put up at the start. If the Vendor has not
provided a way to do this by unticking something.Thanks

There are probably reg hacks for such things but there's nothing within XP
natively and it is a function controlled by the application. In each case,
the method of turning it off would be specific to the specific application;
in other words, how it is turned off would be different in each application.
