stopping printer messages

I had to download a new version of Windows XP, and ever
since I get a pop up telling me the print job I just sent
has printer or been sent or been received, whatever, but
it interferes with my continuing to use the program. I
don't need this pop up. How to I turn it off.

Printers and Faxes > File >Server Properties > Advanced

Uncheck "Show informational notices for ..."

Change spooler setting to winprint--> nt emf 1.00
