Hey guys, I recently add an additional e-mail account to the Mail Setup for
Outlook 2002. On annoying item with this setup is that every time that I
issue the send/receive to retrieve my mail both accounts issue receive/send
request. In addition to starting this process, one of the accounts pops up a
window which contains my userid and password. I have filled all of the
information in and checked the 'Remember my password' checkbox. When I click
the OK button, the info appears to be accepted, but the same popup screen is
returned to me about 3-4 seconds later looking for another (OK-Acceptances
response!?) My envisioned ideal situation would be to never have the second
account even startup! Is there a reasonable way to accomplish this? If so,
short of deleting the other account, I would appreciate that info. Thanks in
advance . . .Tom J.

With Outlook 2002 u can only have one email account
accessing the same sever at a time... Ie -- 2 email
acciounts going to the same server will produce the login
box... This version of Outlook and the new version check
all email accounts at the same time -- SO if U had 15
email accounts in Outlook -- It would check them all at
the same time.. unlike Outlook 2000 checks each -- One at
a time down the list... to shut one of the email account
down and check it manually follow these steps:

click on Tools, Options, Mail setup, send/recieve, edit,
on the left hand side select the email account that is
causing grief then on that same page there should be a
check box to tell Outlook not to include this account in
the send/recieve group.. Note u will have to check the
account manually..
