Stopping MSN Messenger

No matter what I do MSN Messenger finds away to launch on
startup-or with Outlook Express. I like MSN messenger,
but I don't alway want to use it. I have removed it from
start-up, and it comes back. I have disabled it in Outlook
Express, but it always launches anyway. Apparently there
is no way to uninstall it. So any help you can give on
this matter would be appreciated.
