Hi,

I disabled Messenger via the Administrative tools and
restarted the system. Upon restart:

1) A request was made from my machine to allow for a
Generic Host process which I permitted.

2) This was followed by a request for Messenger to act as
a server which I permitted.

3) This was followed by a request from a Microsoft server
207.46.228.33:3544 to start a Generic Host process which
I denied

4) The Microsoft server persists in starting up a Generic
Host process. At this point there has been 30 attempts.

5) Messenger requested Internet server access which I
denied.

Configuration:
Windows XP
ZoneAlarm 4.0
Neatgear Router
ADSL connection

Does anyone have any idea about what is happening and how
I might stop this process from continuing? Thanks.

Rich

Were you attached to the internet when the 207.x.x.x request was received?
