Hi Guys

I want to go to www.abercrombe.com ( The US site) but because i live
in the UK
the Browser automatically goes to www.uk.abercombie.com ( the UK
site), is there a way around this ???

Thanks

Mani :-)

Try using their IP instead; that should take you there directly to the page
asking you to enter a zip code to find the store you want. It's the
Abercrombe & Fitch site.
The IP is: 208.255.29.113 . Just put that into your address bar, same
as you would a regular address but instead using the numbers only.
Copy/paste that to the address bar and hit GO.

Part of the problem is, they don't use the "www." in their address: It's
just http://abercrombe.com. That works for me, and is where I got their IP
address for them.

Below is just some "thinking" routes I took while fiddling with this issue.

FWIW, when I tried to ping www.abercrombe.com, I got the following error
message:
Sorry, I could not determine the IP for www.abercrombe.com (error 11004).
Also, my browser won't let me go there; says it doesn't exist.

Here's what I got when I did a whois on them, so they DO exist:

AHH! Here's the problem: There is no "www." associated with it: It's just
http://abercrombe.com: Ping works there, and Whois also works better:
-------------------------
Pinging abercrombie.com [208.255.29.113]:

Ping #1: * [No response]
Ping #2: * [No response]
Ping #3: * [No response]
Ping #4: * [No response]
[No times available]

No response is typical, but means the ping WAS received at that IP number.
If a ping fails to find the target, it'll say so.

Done pinging abercrombie.com!
