Where do I go to prevent a program from starting when I boot? In Win98 I
did it at windows/start up/programs/start.
Thanks.

I don't think msconfig works under XP.
You've got the right idea, but first thing I would do is
browse around in the settings and options for the
particular program your trying to prevent from starting on
boot, Most will have an option. If you can't find it then
look for your start up folder.

You'll find it under your username for Documents and
Settings.

Why do you think msconfig doesn't work? Ever try it?
