Hi All. Is there any way to stop the animated clip art I
download from the Microsoft Clip-Art Site? I want it to
run through it's programmed animation, but then stop, but
there seems to be no controls. Can these little critters
be stopped!!!!???

Thanks for any help.

If you're talking about an animated GIF, they run indefinitely in PPT
2000. PPT 2002 (and 2003, I presume) will respect the header info in the
GIF itself. So if the GIF is set to loop X number of times (inside the
GIF), that's what it will do in 2002. You'd have to open the GIF in a
GIF animator to reset that, though.

Thanks. That really helps me alot.

Of course, another option would be to capture the little guy on a jpg, and
fade insert that over the gif.
It's not smooth, but it is cheap and easy.

If you have something like Animation shop, you can edit the GIF and change
it from looping indefinitely to a specific number of loops. Does that help?
