I tried to stop a 3rd party firewall/proxy software service and it gave me
an error message "unable to stop this service". It shows the service status
as "stopping". Is there any way to force the service to stop without
rebooting the server?

Where did you find that "Kill" utility? I don't see in the Windows NT Pro
Resource Kit. Thanks.

Hi William,

kill.exe is one of the Support Tools included on the Windows 2000 CD. To install
Windows 2000 Support Tools", search Windows 2000 Help (windows.chm) for words in
double-quotes.
