Stop users from Burning CD's

Hi,

Our latest PC's have been delivered with a CD re-writer, from a security
point of view I want to disable this for most users, is there a domain
policy setting that will enable me to do this?

No, you can restrict the drive, but then you can't use the drive at all, you
can also restrict installations of Windows Installer Package from a cd
drive,

hmmmm, is there any way to set read/write permissions on cd-r drives? I
don't think that would work, but ...

I had a similar situation. We just ordered some cheap cd-roms (you can get
40x drives for $5 or $6 from surplus outlets) and swapped them out,
hoarding the cd-r's for the IT guys.
