The Windows Installer starts up when I activate a couple of programs.
How can I make it stop?

this happens when you manually delete an software that windows intaller
installed & when the registry handle of that software is accessed by any
process the windows installer pops up tring to install. you can remove this
problem with a good registry cleaner recommended ccleaner www.ccleaner.com
an award winning software has a system / registry cleaner 18 million
downloads so far.

hope this helps...

disappear
and allow the program to open then when I try the next frame it comes on
again for another 3-4 mins.

Tried all the pc tools repair programs ect also ccleaner but no joy!

Can anyone help me by iether telling me how to solve this problem or sending
me some strong Rope!!!

It didn't work completely. Now the installer pops up just once -- not
7 times. Plan B?

OK. I read though those. The event log says the culprit is MSI
Installer -- event #11729. What do I do now?

Check the "Description" of that event. You'll see something like this:

Description:
Detection of product '{000C1109-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}', feature
'Example', component '{00030829-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}' failed. The
resource 'C:\Progam Files\example\example.exe' does not exist.

Thereby you can find the application name. Use Windows Installer Cleanup
utility (or the command-line MSIZAP tool to remove the MSI information for
that product).

Is there a manual hack?
