I keep getting a message that there is a new version of Messenger do I want
to download. I click no do not ask me for 2 weeks or what ever BUT I don't
ever want the new version - I am happy with the one I have - How do I

There is this article:

XFOR: How to Configure Instant Messaging Client System Policy Settings

But adding the DisableUpdates string could no work.

Greetings,

This only works with Windows Messenger. There's no way to disable the notifications in newer
versions of Messenger including MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger.
