stop the column widths from changing

I am importing csv files into sheet4.
All these csv files contain the same number of lines and same fields in
each line.
The only difference is the data in each csv file.
Everytime the csv import script does the import in sheet4 - some of the
column widths change.
Looks like this is happening because the csv data in some fields is
wider.

Is it possible to "lock" the column widths in this sheet so that the
csv file import does not arbitrarily change them?

It is difficult to keep changing the view-zoom to keep up with the ever
changing column widths.
