The Directors of my company have decided that they do not want users palying
games on the company computers, these are the ones that are part of the
Windows XP/2000 operating system, is there a way of using a Domain policy to
disable all of the games, I do not want to have to uninstall them from all
the computers.

Thanks,

You can go into the section where you tunr off certain
applications. Enter the exact file name of the game.
Example Solitar is sol.exe. They will no longer be able to
run the games that you list. This doesn't stop users from
changing the file name and running the game. Make sure
that you place this in a policy that is high enough to
catch all users. I would create a new policy at the root
of the domain. I would leave the default policy alone.

Thanks for that Chad, does anyone know where I can turn off certain
applications? i.e. disable certain executables?

Thanks,

Well... that is exactly what Chad told you how to do... you list the names
of the executables you wish to disable.

Yes, but where about in the domain policy do I add the names of the
executable files?

Thanks

User Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / Don't Run Specified
Windows Programs
