Hi Thanks in advance.

I have problem that a laptop keep going to sleep (Or Hibernation) approx
every 20 mins.

I have no access to security so can't change the settings.

Need someway to keep laptop awake.

Lap top is looking at inbox of outlook for new email using access vba code
(Problem is outlook freezes when it is in sleep mode so stops processing)

At present we have to remember to press, alternative, the shift and ctrl
keys manual.

Have tried to use kendkeys but does not work.

Please please help asap. Any idea would be good. A simple fix would be
fantastic

Thanks

This isn't an Outlook problem, it's a problem of your machine settings. If
your IT department set up the security you should talk to them and get them
to change the settings on the laptop.

IT State:-

"Departmental group policies (Active Directory Group Policies)" so no can do
(Being stuborn as usual) we have a business case for it but you can't argue
with "GOD"

I need another way to keep it awake

Well, Outlook isn't going to do that for you. If you can't get IT to permit
changes like that and you can't replace the IT people with more reasonable
people I'd be googling for applications you can download that will prevent
the laptop from going into sleep mode.
