Any of the following should do:
- Pull the network cable from your host.
- Power off the router.
- Pull the network cable to the LAN side of your cable/DSL modem.
- Unplug the phone cord from your dial-up modem.
- Right-click on the LAN or dial-up connectoid in the Network applet in
Control Panel and select Disable.
- Right-click on the tray icon for a 3rd party firewall to disable all
connections.
- Use Task Manager to kill the outlook.exe process (NOT recommended).
- Pull the power cord to your computer (also NOT recommended).
