Hi, I am trying to stop a certain page from getting indexed, I have placed it
in a sub-folder and inserted HTML to stop engines from seeing it but if you
go to google.co.uk and type in STOP SPOTS you will see that at the top
stopspots.co.uk has indexed a page in a sub-folder called not_found.htm.

Any Ideas?

Try putting the page into a _hidden folder (note the underscore). It may
take a while for Google to un-index it, though.

IIRC, using a _hidden folder doesn't stop the search engines. It only stops
the FrontPage search engine.

I am sure I found out once, but what does IIRC mean?
Perhaps we need a glossary of abbreviations, mnenomics, etc.
