Just upgraded to XP Pro. Is there any way I can stop every new folder
window from opening up full screen? It would be nice if a new window would
open just big enough to show the files in it. I have View settings on List.

Which is full screen for me, because that's my screen resolution. Okay,
then - any way a User can change _that_ setting without Admin-level
permissions?

But if you resize the 1st folder opened it will keep that size from saved settings each time it's the 1st opened.. No saved settings then 800x600 so you can find your window at a reasonable size which overcomes problems in earlier versions. But the 1st folder opened sets the window size (as you would not be impressed if windows jumped about changing sizes as you change folders).

Thanks, Dave. I guess I just have to get used to XP's new "features".
*sigh*
