I'm using Outlook98 on an NT4 Exchange 5.5 Mail Server.
If I right-click on a single Spam email in the In-box, at the bottom of the
drop-down list, it has 'Junk E-mail' which gives the two options;
'Add to Junk Senders list'
'Add to Adult Content Senders list'

When I click on 'Add to Junk Senders list', I will see this e-mail address
in the 'Organise Inbox', and view 'Edit Junk Senders'.

Often I have a number of Junk E-mails. If I select a few with the 'Shift'
key and right-click, I am presented with a slightly different option.
At the bottom of the options, there is 'Junk E-mail' the same as when I do
this for a single Junk email, but I don't get the two options for 'Junk' and
'Adult'.
Anyway... when I click 'Junk E-mail' it would seem that that is where these
are consigned, since it appears to give me that option. However, when I look
in the 'Junk Senders' list, they don't show up.
It only seems to work for single e-mails.

I was away for five days and today I had over 1000 Junk E-mails!!!
600 of them went into the 'Junk' Folder, but 300 were new.
I still need to browse through each one, because occasionally a real e-mail
gets caught up in it.

I know there is no real answer to Junk mail, but it would save me a lot of
time if I could select multiple e-mails with the shift key rather than
assign each one individually.

Any suggestions please?

It doesn't work that way. Just like you can't create a rule when you have
multiple mails selected. And that what you are creating; a mail rule.

Other than that; By now you must have realized that blocking based on e-mail
address doesn't work as spammers change address all the time. You are better
of with a spamfilter like mailwasher or an Upgrade to Outlook 2003 which has
a spamfilter as well. Or contact your administrator to install spamfilters
on the Exchange server.

Thanks for your reply, Roady,
Maybe they should grey out that 'Junk E-mail' option when you select
multiple emails.

Outlook 98 you say? I know the option isn't even listed when you select
multiple mails in Outlook 2002 or Outlook 2003, which is correct behaviour.
