Windows XP Stop Message

Stop Message:0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x804ECBA1, 0xF9F1EEC0, 0x00000000)

My computer crashes after I install Norton 360 Version 2.0 and I receive the above stop message. When i set my computer to last known good configuration everything is fine.

I only have 192mb of RAM and the Norton requires 256 mb of RAM could this cause my computer to crash.

Hi,


One word of advice get rid of norton, but if you have just brought it then lets see if we can get it working for you. It could be to do with lack of memory in the system, what OS are you using?

your problem is you have a very old/slow pc and norton is one of the most resource hungry programs out there. :)

Loose nortons, or better still maybe upgrade your pc mate.
