Hi Jason,
Q1: "stop (cant read this as disappears to quickly and unable to pause) ... How do I
find out what the message is saying?"
A1: It sound like the Automatically Reboot option is enabled under Recovery on the
Startup/Shutdown tab in System properties. To disable the Automatically Reboot
option would require performing a parallel install of Windows 2000, then editing the
registry of the original Windows installation. For more information see the first
steps six steps in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base Article that explain how to
disable the Automatically Reboot option.

Q2: "Is they anyway to to remove sp4 from the command prompt if you told it to
archive the files"
I am unable to find a Microsoft Knowledge Base Article on the subject. But according
to "Joseph Conway (MSFT)", there is a way to remove it from the Recovery Console.
Here is a copy/paste of a recent newsgroup post on the subject:

Can you boot into safe mode? Did you have antivirus running during install?
IF you can get into safe mode, uninstall the SP and reboot. If not, boot
into recovery console and browse to the $NTServicePackUninstall$ directory
and run the manual uninstall .bat file that was created, assuming you kept
the uninstall files.
