I know this is not the forum for this type of question, but I am hoping
someone here might help steer me in the right direction. Is there a way to
stop a user from copying database files off the server? I need to allow
users to have access to foxpro database files on the server for their client
applications to run (requires me to share the folder containing the database
files), but is there a way I can stop them from physically copying the files
off the server? I am trying to prevent the database from being stolen by an
employee. And please, no suggestions of prohibiting floppy, internet, email,
etc access on the workstations, as this is not a feasible solution. I need a
way to stop a file from being copied off the server. If anyone knows how,
please let me know. We do run an AD network with W2K clients.
