In FP2003, all of the sudden, FP is generating a "files" folder for each web
page. I delete the files folder and the page goes away. I am using an
"Images" folder fo how do I stop this.

Sounds like you have used IE to save the page as "HTML Complete".
That will create the *.htm file plus a folder named after the page
plus files that stores the rest of the files associated with the HTML
page such as images and CSS file.
Though you see them as separate Windows treats them as a whole so when
you delete one you also delete the other.
This as such has nothing to do with Frontpage.

Jens - i am using FP 2002 & am new to all this ... can you explain what you
mean when saying "you have used IE to save the pages as HTML Complete"? This
too happens to me but i just though it was how FP operated.

Are you using Word Art, or Text Boxes, or other objects created from
the FP drawing toolbar? Using any of these will result in the
creation of a files folder.
Note that these objects will only display in Internet Explorer - other
browsers will display nothing at all, or a poor quality .gif image
contained in the files folder.

Thanks Ronx - I am using the drawing tool for everything as i find it easier
to place things where i want them until i get the hang of FP & HTML coding ;)

if you visit a web page with IE and hit file/ save as you'll get some
options in how to save it.
I think you may be getting the /files accompaniment if you're working on
individual pages with FrontPage rather than working on the pages from within
a sub web, or subsite.
