I'm trying to place a new field on page 2 which has been created as a second
tab. Whenever I create the field it also appears on page 1 (tab one). How can
I prevent this from happening?
Thank you for your help.

you have to select the page by clicking in it. another way is to select a
field that you have in that page and copy it, then change the information
that you want the new copy to be.

It is not appearing on either tab, it is floating above the tabs. You need
to make sure your tab page is highlighted when you paste your field. This
will ensure that it is on that tab, not floating above the tabs.

Hope that helps.

Unfortunately that is how I placed the field on the sheet to begin with. The
toolbox is greyed out so I can't create a new box that way. I had to copy it
from another report and paste it to this one. Now it's on both tabs. Is there
a way I can specify in the properties not to be visible on tab one?

No, it is not on both tabs; it is on none of the tabs. highlight your tab
control and delete it. You should still see your control. You pasted it
onto the FORM not onto the TAB.

Highlight the field and CUT it. Then higlight the tab control in which you
want to place the control right-click the tab name and select PASTE. It
should go to the tab then.
