i have installed w2k pro in a system that is using a
Shuttle AN35N Mainboard and Best Data G force4 MX 440
Video agp card. front and rear USB etc. The o/s is
unstable and is reporting STOP ERRORS: IRQ NOT LESS OR
EQUAL nv4_mini.sys (2 error)UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP (3
error)KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED. what do these errors
mean? can anyone assist?

Driver / hardware / software problem;
Probably hardware / driver the nv4_mini.sys is Nvidea mini port driver. I'm
not familiar with yr mb but this driver is usually supplied with a mb that
uses the Nvidea chipset.

I have had a similar problem recently with W2K Pro and I think some of
my problems related to a faulty disk. I now have it as reasonably
stable but I still get the occasional random stop error.

There is lots of info available on the net detailing what the stop
errors mean. Just enter the description or stop error code into a
search engine and you will gets lots of info. This link is a start:

If you are getting lots of different ones then you need to take note
of what module they are occurring in and see if that gives you a clue
to what device or driver may be causing them. Faulty device drivers
are a likely cause.

What service pack are you using? Have you updated your hardware since
installing W2K Pro? If so, have you reinstalled the service pack or
implemented a slipstreaming image?

If you can provide some more detailed info then maybe someone can help
point you in the right direction.
