Ok, I've been running Windows XP Pro for 3 years, and
have never had a problem that I couldn't fix. But Now,
I'm being haunted by the blue screens of even worse
death. The STOP error, and reboot.

I've been poring over the memory dumps, and I can't make
heads or tails of it.

I've disabled the reboot. but here is the stop error I
keep getting.

STOP 0x000000D1
(0x82000000,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xF8797B70)

HIDCLASS.SYS error F8797B70 base at F8796000 date code
3b7d8659

According to the Windows Event viewer its a event
1003/1001. Windows support can't tell me anything more
then ER_KRNLCRASH_LOG... And the only referance in the
knowladge base on a stop error is a referance to a memery
card reader error, and BIOS complianty.

I have not made any physical changes to the hardware in
over a year, and the only new software I've added to the
system in the past month is the games, Uru, Age of
Empires 2, Rollercoaster Tycoon 2, Birth of the
Federation, Simcity 4.

Another note, after a blue screen, about half the time
when I reboot the system, it will make a buzzing noize
throught the pc speaker, and will stop mid boot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm at my wits
end, and I'm going to attempt a BIOS flash in hopes that
it will correct the stop error, sence it survived a Re-
install of window.

You sure that noise is comming from the speaker and not your hard drive?
Make sure you have all your important data backed up.

First I recommend you submit the error report back to MS. it will get
analyze against know driver failures. If we know what the problem is you'll
be pointed to an update to fix it.

HIDCLASS is related to input devices. Did you add a new device to the
machine recently ?
