Stop: Error C0000218 (Registry File Failure)
The Registry cannot load the hive (file
/systemroot/system32/config/software
or its log or alternative....

somebody tell me how to fix this bullshit.

I run windows xp home edition, and dell support sucks.

when I have dealt with that particular failure, my
response has been to either do a paralell install of
winxp to salvage the data on the drive or do a clean
install of winxp. While sometimes the paralell install
does not work, the clean install has never failed to
work. (Clean install being delete partition, create
partition, reinstall xp.)
