W2K Pro/SP2
I have two PCs running W2KPro with SP2 and I hooked up an
HP PSC1210 to the first and installed the HP Software that
came with it. The first PC went smoothly and I set the
printer up as shared. I then installed the HP software on
the second PC without the printer physically attached.
Since doing that, I have been unable to boot up. Each
time I attempt I get a blue screen with a STOP error and
"PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA".
Since I have to boot into Safe Mode, I am unable to run or
start the Windows Installer service (which depends on RPC
service which depends on Workstation service) to uninstall
this software. I have tried as best as I can to remove it
but I need these services to get it all removed. I also
tried the Remove Hardware Wizard to remove the printer and
the Add Printer wizard to add the printer with the driver
only and this has not helped. HP has no idea whay to do
and wants me to call Microsoft.
Thanks in advance!
