I'm getting an intermittent Driver IRQL Stop error. I can't produce it,
it just happens sometimes several times a day sometimes I go all day
without the error.

Stop: oxooooooD1 (0x0000002 0x0000001 0xF6E7A2B5)
USBPORT.SYS-Address F6E7A2B5 Base @ F6E7500 Datestamp 41107d6Z (Z is
possibly a 2)

This started after I installed drivers for a Samsung mobile phone. I've
removed all the Samsung software & registry entries I can find & all the
USB ports show as functioning normally in Device Manager.
I'm trying to avoid taking it to the shop as the guy in town is busy &
slow, he'll probably have it for a couple of days for a 5 minute fix.
Running Windows XP SP2 with all updates.

Why you don't try System Restore for an earlier date before the Software
installation incident took place?.

Or try the info here, it is look s like one of your USB devices is
malfunctioning/your modem may be!.

Error Message:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/w2kmsgs/6077.asp

How old the machine?, try to update the BIOS from the Machine manufacturer
website.

Thanks for the reply.
One of the first things I tried was System Restore, no luck.
I don't know about the modem since we have satellite, not a traditional
dial-up modem.
It seems like the 2 USB ports on the front of the box are malfunctioning
because when I plug anything into them I get a message that the device
is malfunctioning, but I can use the ones on the back.
We just had everything updated last summer. New everything except the box.
The problem started when I installed drivers for a Samsung mobile
phone. I tried removing everything I could find connected to the
install, got the latest drivers for the phone, still the front usb ports
won't work. The ones on the back work fine. How do I fix the ports on
the front of the box??

If you read the Article on the DEll Forum you will see you can unistall the
USB ports and Reboot your machine. Windows will detect and install the Device.
Does the USB in device manager show you have USB2?.

The problem is that it doesn't show the Device unless it's plugged in &
if I try to plug anything into the front ports it just says it's
malfunctioning.
None of the ports show USB2 but that's one of the reasons we had the
computer re-done, my digital camera needs USB2,since the problem started
the front ports don't even recognize the camera.
I need to find out how to figure out which ports are the problem.
I guess I'm going to have to take it to the shop. Just hate to be
without it for a couple of days for a 10 minute fix, the guy here in
town is slow.
