Not a lot - they certainly don`t tell you "the memory stick in dimm1 is
faulty I know your not going to like this as it`ll cost you time and money
to replace but thats it straight up" or "you just installed a version of
(enter software program here) that is incompatible with this version of
windows I warned you at installation but you ignored me now do you believe
me" heh if only if it was that straight forward.
What are you doing when this happens? Is there anything
else after the number?? http://source/eSupport/ms_kb/articles/316/401.HTM. This
references just ONE cause of this error. Just look through
the MS knowledgebase. I am sure you will fins an article
that will reference your specific issue. It most likely is
an IDE controller issue.
