Hi xpuser
What version of WIndows are you using? Are you logged on as Administrator
if XP or W2K? I found I could not install this program unless I was logged
on as Adminsitrator.
Here are a fw suggestions, you can ignore those that do not apply to your
OS:
First, if you have SpywareBlaster, disable the Flash Killer feature.
then try the following...
Windows XP error installing Macromedia Flash Player ActiveX control
http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/xp_player_installerror.htm
or...
Cannot install Flash or Micromedia
Is the Flash ActiveX control enabled in IE Manage Add-ons window?
It's possible that Kill-bit is set to Flash ActiveX control. If so remove
the Kill-bit:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/noflash.htm
Simply delete the {D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000} sub-key under
ActiveX Compatibility key.
If .. > The add-on manager does not list Flash control
Even if you click on Show: Add-ons that have been used by Internet
Explorer?
(An odd way of saying "Show: All"?)
Look under Name for: Shockwave Flash Object
also...
Remove Flash from AddRemove programs including all registry entries for
it. Reboot, then go to Macromedia's site. Since it is Flash based you should
get the dialog to install Flash.

However, if you are getting error messages when you click the link, then
your Host file, blocked sites under restricted area in IE, or other security
apps or blockers that you might be using that can block sites is
interfering. Check
your Antivirus, and your Zone Alarm if you have it.
If you have any type of Toolbar or 3rd Party program with an ad blocker,
disable it or uninstall it. Set your security to Medium if you have not
already done so.
Hope this helps
Jan
