Hi everyone

Hope someone can help. Is there a way to stop an autotext entry (filename) from updating the path in the footer when a document is emailed to someone. I have a customer that wants it to retain the original location so that the can tell where a document was originally stored not where it currently resides.

Regards

Hi there,

Select the autotext field in the footer and do CTRL-SHIFT-F9. The field will
become text and will never update anymore.

Cheers!

A different approach is to lock the field (press CTRL+F11)
in order to prevent it from being updated. If you ever
want it to update again, you could unlock it by using
CTRL+SHIFT+F11.
