I have an XP system that I use in conjunction with a Win2K
system for development work. Everything on the XP system
has been working great.
I installed IIS which seemed to go OK. Then I created a
directory in the Shared folder. (I was planning on placing
SOAP server apps in this directory from the Win2K box and
allowing the XP box to serve them up for multi system
testing.) I then went to the IIS Admin and created a new
virtual directory and pointed it to the new Shared
directory and gave it scripting rights in addition to the
defaults. Everything seemed to go ok, but when I
attempted to log off the system hung. (I think that is
the first time the system has hung at all.)
After an extended period of time, I cycled power,
attempting a re-boot. I got the Stop 0x21a. I attempted
to load the Last Known Good, Safe Mode, Command Prompt,
and nearly everyother boot option. All give the same Stop
0x21a.
I have a lot of experience with Win9X & Win2K. Very
little with XP.
Any help?
Thanks,
Bob
