I have a Win2K workstation that had the OS trashed, so I deleted the partition, reformatted and reloaded the OS from the installation disks that came with the PC. I loaded all the drivers, etc but when rebooting I get the following error code: STOP:0x000000D1 (0x00000114,0x00000012,0x00000000,0xBFF74582) ADDRESS BF74582 base at BFF70000, DateStamp 3ec58c26 - SCSIPORT.SYS. Looking at the technet site, I found where that error might be caused by a conflict with the NIC, so I replaced it. Still the same problem. However, if after getting the initial stop error, I reboot, I don't get the error and all is working OK. If I turn off the workstation, then back on I get the error, then reboot, and all is OK. So far, have not found a fix. PC particulars are: Gateway E3400, 2-40GB HD's, 512MB memory. All is as came from factory except new NIC. I got the error prior to installation of any programs, so is not due to conflict with any of those. I did update to SP4, but that did not help either
