Hello all,

I have Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4 on my NEC Versa 6000 Laptop.

I scheduled a system check and when I restarted the computer it started
checking the system. As it was taking too long, so I thought system might be
not responding, so I powered-off the system.

Once I powered-on the system, it is giving
Stop: 0x0000007B "Inaccessible_Boot_Device"

I have tried all options available in the Advanced menu to boot the system
in Safe mode etc. but none of them work.

I have seen workarounds for this problem on microsoft website, but as I cant
even access my harddrive due to the error, I dont know how to do the chkdsk
/f or some other tasks.

Could someone please please help me to troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks in advance

Boot up the computer with your installation CD and select "Repair" and
then "Repair with Recovery Console". In Recovery Console type:

chkdsk c: /p

no I dont have installation CD with me. Some how I lost it when I moved to my
new place.

Any other way I can fix this?

Thank you.
