My computer(win2000 pro, sp4, 128MRAM, 700MHz) was
rebooting for no apparent reason periodically throughout
the day. I tried a repair of win2000, but no luck. I
figured it must be a virus, so formated the hard drive,
wrote zeros to the hard drive and reinstalled win2000....
At the very end of the install though I got this
bluescreen error.

Win2000 couldnt load. So I tried formating and loading
win 98se... worked fine for about 2 weeks then I started
getting all kinds of fatal errors and windows would reboot.
plbbbbbbbb....

As a guess I added a 128 stick of ram from another
computer, total ram 256.... win2000 loaded no
problem.... but the machine will only run 2000 if I have
256MRAM in the machine..... I know win2000 does not
require that much memory....

Any ideas??????

You might check into the memory stick originally in the PC when this all started. Sounds like it may be bad, or at least, not seated right.
