Stop 0X0000000A error

Any suggestions on what might be wrong with a stop
0X0000000A error.
Parameter 1 0X89FD9578
Parameter 2 0X000000FF
Parameter 3 0x000000000
Parameter 4 0x8052EF9D
Windows XP Pro computer shuts down by itself. Have to
power swith for 5 seconds to shut down computer. Then
start it up and boots OK.

The blue screen with DOS printing has come up several
times and disappeared before I could read it. One it came
up and stayed so I was able to read it.
It said "Technical Information"
Stop 0x000etc and the four parameters given above and
the "***inning dump of physical memory" *** was 0ff left
side of screen. Seems to shut down for no special reason.
As I said I have to hold comp. pwr. switch for 5 sec. in
order to shut down. Restart and boots up fine until next
time.
