No, unless they log in with your user name & password (unlikely ..) on your
ISP .. and even that is pretty difficult. Most probably the laptop will be
re-formatted and re-installed and therefore will not be traceable.
I wonder of the Windows XP activation could be used if they are so stupid to
register with their full details .. but even then, I do not think that MS
could allow you to track it down.
Better buy a new one and forget all about it.
