I'm trying to find a simple program for tracking the sale and purchase of
stocks. It doesn't have to update the prices or access the internet in any
way, just records dates, shares and prices in an easy-to-read way.

I'm currently using StockVue, which used to keep the records, update the
prices everyday, etc. However, most of the features are now discontinued
and it seems silly to keep such a large program just to keep a few records.

I've tried searching on Google and elsewhere, but I always end up with
shareware or dead links. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

The best in the business. Has ads but they can be turned off. Been

Does it by any chance calculate gains/loss when you sell?

There's a stock Portfolio Tracker on Yahoo. It's free, online, and
calculates gains/loss when you sell. Updates every few minutes, slight
delay from reality but if you're not paying, what do you expect. Also takes
into account Dividends and says when they come out. Finally, charts going
back 5 years so you can see what your chosen stocks have been doing.

Hope this might be what you're looking for.

Also--you can set it up to notify your cell phone when watched stocks
move a certain percentage or number of points (for people (like me) who
don't have time to watch their pitiful portfolio--this is a great tool).
