Hiya
This is basically a re-post of my problem with Outlook 2003.
Quite often when we use Outlook it behaves very sluggishly. Every task
from clicking the toolbar, moving through the message folders, even dragging
the window, is accompanied by a delay of 2-3 seconds. Sometimes the program
behaves normally (fast and responsive like it should).
The messages were first imported from Outlook Express into Outlook 2002,
which we ran for a few weeks, then we changed to Outlook 2003 (the complete
Office 2003) because of the sluggish problem. But the problem is stil
there.
No other programs on the computer behave like this. When Outlook is doing
this, all other programs are behaving as normal (fast and responsive).
Only a reboot will solve the problem, when it starts to happen.
Laptop, Win XP Pro, XP1800 CPU, 512MB ram, plenty of spare HD space. PST is
approx 500mb.
I have a spam filter but it doesn't seem to matter whether this is enabled
or not, the problem still appears.
We have EZAntivirus but once again, it doesn't seem responsible for the
problem.
Look forward to any reply.
